I found this guy John Polkinghorne very interesting because he was able to let the idea of Religion and science co exist with each other. In most scenarios, people are usually one sided, it’s either all about science or all about religion. He believes that basically there are so many unexplained things about the world that there is no other rational explanation for them except the idea of there being a higher power existing.
He thinks that the trials and tribulations that we encounter here on earth are God’s doing, but he puts them there for certain reasons. These are reason’s we will never really know but we can try our best to read into and interpret them. I agree with the fact that the unexplained things about the universe merit to God because why and how else would things be the way they are? Was everything an accident or something? Even the things that supposedly make sence…like space and time for example, was it all just human ingenuity, or was it that we just unlocked the doors to something that there really has always had an explanation behind it anway? The laws of gravity, waltz of the planets, functioning of the human organs? Are these things just so? Or did something else make things this way?
