In this session the idea of morality was focused on. They mentioned that you don’t need a religion to maintain one’s morality. I mean I can see where he is coming from when he says this because even if a person has no religious back ground that he or she may follow, does not necessarily make them a bad person. What if they were talk right from wrong, and to have a guilty conscience yet they do not answer to a God. In Some scenarios this is true but why do they believe that people with religions have even more morals. Because not only were we taught right from wrong, having a guilty conscience, but also we have a God that we fear. We have the fear that he is watching and will judge us according to our acts of kindness. But then again some might say that, those are not real morals, you’re just doing the right thing because you’re afraid to go to hell. In some situations people are capable of doing this but as long as the idea isn’t abused. I believe that as long as someone has a conscience present that should keep them in track.
